Saturday night we opened our home for Lilburn's first Historic Home Tour.... Our 1895 Federal style Farm House was all DECKED OUT....Come see.... I have posted some pictures of our humble 1500 sq foot home that I LOVE. We restored it 10 years ago with a lot of sweat, toil and love.....ENJOY ! Have a BLESSED Christmas... Rowann and Hugh

Hugh QUICK get that ladder off the porch ! They will be here soon...We had a line forming at 4:30 OH MY !!!! Get the cider ready and light all the candles....The docents are arriving.... HELP....We opened the door on time....Cats would not go upstairs , they hid under the beds for 4 hrs !Bless them they were freaked out...

The porch all ready for the 450 people who toured our home.... Carolers Sang and a Beautiful Horse Drawn Carriage took everyone around to the 7 Homes on tour...Hot cider was served in the yard.... It felt like SNOW ! MAGIC !

The Light of the World.... Our favorite nativity proclaims Christ's Birth ! Reminding us the reason for our celebration ! WE ARE SO BLESSED !!!!!!

I love cedar trees... The perfect match for my antique ornaments.... worry over CAT climbing so far has been for not... Penn. child's cradle is a treasure...Old Santa... My only GREEN Church I love...

My big splurge for the Tour was to have my 30 year old sofa recovered...YEA, it needed it desperately ! Berlin work over the sofa is the LORD'S PRAYER...A TREASURE !

Hugh's Room....I made the spread and pillows...His childhood bed and Grandfathers roll top desk...Old quilt top over window has BUTTON centers !

The stockings are hung on Hugh's old car belt rack....WHAT FUN...

Shelves in Hugh's room... His Grandfathers Cello...No Hugh doesn't play.... Maybe lessons one day ?

Come spend the night at NANNY"S we will watch movies and eat popcorn....The pillow cases say...All that I have thy hand hath provided... and...Great is thy faithfulness LORD unto me... A gift from my sweet friend Nancy !

Grand Kids room mantle...can't hang all their stockings...between us we have nine ! All TREASURES !

My cats think these old candy containers are their toys.... I keep finding them on the floor...

Poor Santa , filling these stockings would break the bank....

Pine wardrobe in Grand Kids room... You may notice that I have lots of trunks and cupboards....Old homes with closets are rare , they taxed them as rooms , so most have no extra storage...

The Grand kids Room.... Antique crib....Folk Angel by Robin Gunby.....Raggedy's by Cathy Hill... Red work pillow by ME !

Welcome to my dinning room...Hugh's great Aunt Ella painted this woodland picture in 1898....The small black chairs were from the Odd fellows lodge and they are accompanied by two Firehouse Windsors...

Can you believe this floral arrangement ? I was so BLESSED to have Taylor Made Gift Baskets as my florist for the tour ! The designer Doug, out did himself ! White roses , rosemary , dusty miller , pine , cedar , honeysuckle vines , and white cabbages..... The dinning room set for guests !

1800's 3/4 post bed...I made the spread and pillows. My favorite place to be....
